Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and diligent Dishwasher to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchenware, utensils, and equipment, creating a safe and efficient environment for food preparation and service. Your energetic approach will help maintain high standards of hygiene, support food safety protocols, and contribute to the smooth operation of our busy kitchen. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop foundational kitchen skills while working in a fast-paced hospitality setting.

Responsibilities

Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to thoroughly clean dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen tools
Follow strict food safety sanitizing procedures to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations
Support bussing duties by clearing tables and transporting used dishware to the kitchen for cleaning
Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area, including sinks, counters, and storage spaces
Handle manual lifting of heavy pots, trays, and boxes safely according to kitchen health and safety standards
Adhere to all sanitation policies and procedures to uphold restaurant hygiene standards at all times

Requirements

Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; a willingness to learn is essential
Knowledge of food handling safety practices and sanitation procedures
Ability to operate kitchen equipment such as dishwashers and sinks efficiently
Strong manual handling skills with the capacity for heavy lifting when necessary
Excellent attention to detail to ensure thorough cleaning and sanitation standards are met
Ability to work quickly in a high-pressure environment while maintaining quality standards
Flexibility to work various shifts including, weekends, or holidays as needed
