We are expanding our Personal Training team and looking for candidates who are ready to work with a world-class, award-winning team that has been changing lives for over 25 years in Vancouver WA. Our current need is experienced Personal Trainers who are available for evening and Saturday morning shifts and who are also skilled at teaching group fitness classes. The founder of the company, Sherri McMillan, is a national speaker and author of multiple books who is very involved in the community and has grown this world-renowned fitness and training studio from scratch. Come learn from one of the pioneers in the Fitness and Personal Training industry.

Required Criteria includes:

National level Personal Training certification such as ACSM, NSCA, NASM, ACE, AFAA or ISSA.
A degree in a health-related field is considered an asset but not mandatory.
Personality - We are looking for someone who is extremely friendly, positive, upbeat, energetic, inspirational and has great communication skills. A great attitude is more important than your resume!
Experience - We hire experienced trainers AND those new to the industry so all interested should apply. We have an exceptional internship program so even if you don't currently have extensive experience we will teach you everything you need to know. Experience is an asset however, most importantly, we are looking for someone who is willing to learn new systems and protocols and will have an easy time adapting to the standards we have at Northwest Personal Training. If you have experience and success training clients of all levels from beginners, to athletes, to those with health concerns or special health needs and have experience teaching group fitness classes, please note that in your cover letter. If you do not have any experience, we may not be able to hire you immediately, but if we feel you would be a great fit for our team, you may be a candidate for our internship program.
Team Player - We are looking for an individual who is a team player and will get involved in all the great events and programs we host. Divas, who believe they know it all, should not apply.
Exceptional work ethics - We are looking for an individual who holds a strong work ethic and has excellent initiative. Are you proactive and do you act without being told? Are you ready to hustle and be part of something special? Are you organized and do you get things done quickly and efficiently?
Committed to growth and development - Candidate must have a passion for learning and must be committed to attending educational conferences, reading trade journals and continually updating their skills. If we have to twist your arm to attend a workshop, you are not the right trainer for us. Can you bring new ideas to our company?
The ability to teach or willingness to learn how to teach group training classes such as indoor cycling, yoga, barre, bootcamp, rowing, muscle, core etc is an asset but not mandatory.
We are currently looking for a trainer who is available for afternoon/evening hours and Saturdays. We are ready to hire 2 candidates who can start the training and onboarding process immediately.
