Full Job Description

Job Title: Saw Operator

Position Summary:
Manufacturer of agricultural equipment, is seeking an experienced Saw Operator to join our production team. This role involves measuring, preparing, and operating multiple band saws to cut steel components.

The ideal candidate will have experience using measuring tools such as measuring tape, and digital calipers, operating vertical and horizontal band saws, safe forklift operation, and handling raw materials. Attention to detail, commitment to quality, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Measure and cut steel components according to specifications and production drawings.
Inspect fabricated parts to ensure accuracy, quality, and adherence to safety standards.
Read, interpret, and understand blueprints and technical drawings to carry out fabrication tasks accurately.
Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, load, and stage materials for cutting and fabrication.
Operate and maintain band saws.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, following company safety policies and procedures.
Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve fabrication or material handling issues as needed.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school background is a plus.
2–4 years of experience in metal fabrication and/or material handling in a manufacturing environment.
Forklift certification or proven forklift operating experience.
Ability to accurately read tape measurers, digital calipers, blueprints, and production drawings.
Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
Reliable, safety-focused, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

Experience operating a band saw, laser cutter, and press brake.
Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Basic knowledge of agricultural or industrial equipment is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
