Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner – Pulmonary Poughkeepsie, NY Primarily Schedule: Monday – Friday
Summary:
The Division of Pulmonary at MidHudson Regional Hospital, in collaboration with WMCHealth’s Center for Advanced Practice, is seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Advanced Practice Provider (APP), Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP), to join our expanding service. In this exciting new role, the APP will work alongside experienced physician and APP colleagues, managing patients with diverse pulmonary disease processes in both the inpatient and ambulatory clinical setting. This position affords the APP exposure to all aspects of pulmonary medicine, including interventional pulmonology while working in a community setting. Role Highlights:
- Performing medical evaluations, treatment, follow-up and consultations for diverse pulmonary patients in the inpatient and outpatient clinical settings.
- Delivering direct patient care as part of a collaborative patient care team.
- Gaining a working competency of clinical workflows, protocols, and applicable procedures necessary in the comprehensive approach in the care of the pulmonary patient.
Who We’re Looking For:
- Candidates must be board certified as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner and possess or be able to obtain a license in New York.
- Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 1-year experience, although highly motivated new graduates with interests and abilities in the care of pulmonary patients will be considered and are encouraged to apply.
- Must possess excellent communication skills and demonstrate an ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
