Job Summary

Duties

Prepare ingredients and assist in food production, including tasks like food handling, food preparation, and adhering to recipes for consistent quality.
Operate various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, such as grills, braising units, poaching stations, and food safety sanitizing tools.
Support meal preparation for high-volume service, ensuring timely delivery of dishes while maintaining cleanliness and organization.
Maintain strict food safety protocols by following sanitizing procedures, proper food handling practices, and sanitation standards to ensure a safe environment for staff and guests.
Assist with dishwashing duties, ensuring all cookware, utensils, and kitchen tools are properly cleaned and stored according to health regulations.
Support the culinary team with menu planning insights and ingredient management to optimize food production.
Contribute to a positive team environment by communicating effectively and assisting colleagues during busy service periods.

Requirements

Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred; experience with fine dining or high-volume kitchens is a plus.
Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures is essential.
Basic knife skills and familiarity with operating kitchen equipment such as grills, braising pots, poaching stations, and dishwashers are highly desirable.
Ability to follow recipes precisely and adhere to food handling protocols to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
Strong work ethic with the ability to work efficiently in fast-paced settings while maintaining attention to detail.
Experience with dietary departments or dietary aide roles is beneficial but not required; a willingness to learn about special dietary needs is appreciated.
