Position Overview
SecureHawk is a Utah-based security integrator and certified installation and management partner for the most advanced cloud security platforms in the world. The company installs and manages AI-powered surveillance, access control, and smart sensor systems for commercial clients across industries including education, retail, multifamily housing, and commercial real estate.
SecureHawk is hiring its first dedicated Security Systems Technician to install, configure, and support commercial video surveillance and access control systems. This role is responsible for the hands-on execution of installation plans at client sites - pulling cables, mounting cameras, and deploying access control hardware with precision and professionalism.
This is a full-time, W2, salaried position. The selected candidate will report directly to leadership and play a key role in delivering the high-quality experience that SecureHawk's clients expect.
Key Responsibilities
- Pull and terminate CAT5e/CAT6 and other low-voltage cabling through walls, ceilings, and conduit at commercial sites
- Install and configure IP cameras, mounts, network equipment, and associated hardware
- Install access control systems including readers, controllers, electronic locks, and related equipment
- Replace legacy DVR/NVR hardware and take over existing camera systems
- Execute installation plans provided by the sales team and technical leads
- Perform service calls and on-site troubleshooting
- Identify and communicate structural limitations on-site that may affect the installation plan
- Document installations and communicate project status to management
- Represent the company professionally in all client-facing interactions
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Hands-on experience with low-voltage electrical work, cable pulling, and structured cabling (CAT5e/CAT6)
- Ability to read basic wiring diagrams and installation documentation
- Experience with IP cameras or commercial security systems (preferred; training provided)
- Access control installation experience is a strong differentiator (required for senior-level candidates)
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Comfortable working on ladders and performing physical field installations
- High drive, energy, and ability to work independently in the field

Additional Details
Location: On-site — Lehi, Utah
Travel: Local travel throughout Utah is required; a company vehicle is provided. Occasional out-of-state travel may be required (e.g., Arkansas, Florida, Indiana, Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona) — all travel expenses covered by the company.

Application Process
DataBased conducts the initial vetting for the client, facilitated by an asynchronous interview. If you advance through this stage, we will then introduce you to the client and serve as your liaison, providing support and guidance throughout the entire process, ensuring a seamless experience for both parties.
Pay: $65,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
