Full Job Description

We are looking for a part-time Administrative Assistant to join our team at Pueblo Speech and Neurological Rehabilitation Center. We are looking for a tech savvy, quick learning candidate with flexible availability. Computer skills are must. Healthcare terminology knowledge is preferred by not required.

Pueblo Speech and Neurological Rehabilitation Center is locally and clinician owned small business and speech therapy clinic in downtown Pueblo, CO.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

-Reception tasks such as greeting patients, managing incoming and outgoing faxes, scheduling appointments, answering phones, and providing administrative support.

-Billing and authorizations task such as contacting insurance companies, inputting billing data, managing insurance authorizations.

The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, a friendly and professional demeanor, excellent computer and math skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is organized and detail-oriented to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals. Onsite training is available for strong candidates who do not have specific healthcare experience.

Responsibilities:

Greet and assist patients in a professional manner.
Answer incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate staff member.
Review referrals and schedule appointments for patients.
Verify patient information and update records as needed.
Collect payments from patients and process insurance claims.
Maintain a clean and organized reception area.
Manage electronic patient files and other confidential documents.
Obtaining insurance authorizations for speech therapy
Billing patients and insurance companies and managing accounts receivable
Training other administrative staff members
