Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our dynamic legal team. In this role, you will provide essential support across a wide range of legal practice areas, including personal injury, construction law and more. Your proactive approach and strong research skills will help ensure the smooth operation of our law office, assisting attorneys with case management, document review, legal drafting, and administrative tasks. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your legal expertise while contributing to impactful legal work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Assist attorneys with legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal research tools to support case preparation and strategy.
Manage legal case files and documents efficiently using document management systems.
Draft, proofread, and review legal documents including contracts, pleadings, memos, and correspondence with precision and clarity.
Conduct thorough document review and data entry to ensure accuracy in case files and records.
Support project management activities by coordinating deadlines, scheduling meetings, and organizing client interviews or consultations.
Maintain organized filing systems for both physical and electronic documents in compliance with confidentiality standards.

Qualifications

Paralegal experience or equivalent legal administrative experience is required.
Strong knowledge of various practice areas including personal injury and construction law is preferred.
Proficiency with legal research platforms such as Westlaw and LexisNexis.
Experience with case management software is highly desirable.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently.
Demonstrated writing skills with attention to detail in legal drafting and proofreading.
Strong communication skills coupled with professional phone etiquette.
Ability to perform data entry accurately while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
