Lead Cook / Sous Chef

Grand Villa of Port Charlotte is seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Cook / Sous Chef to join our culinary team. This vital role supports our commitment to providing exceptional cuisine for our residents and staff, ensuring a high standard of food quality, presentation, and safety. Key Responsibilities:

Assist with food preparation, cooking, and plating to meet quality standards
Support the Food Services Supervisor in daily kitchen operations
Supervise kitchen staff and ensure adherence to safety and sanitation regulations
Manage inventory, order supplies, and maintain proper storage of ingredients
Develop and implement menu items in collaboration with the culinary team
Ensure timely and efficient service during meal periods
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area

Skills and Qualifications:

Proven experience as a cook, sous chef, or similar culinary role
Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
Culinary certification or relevant training preferred
