Duties

Lead and supervise kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and motivated team environment focused on excellence in food preparation and service

Manage inventory control, including ordering, stock rotation, and minimizing waste to optimize cost efficiency
Plan menus in collaboration with culinary staff, incorporating dietary requirements and seasonal ingredients to keep offerings fresh and exciting
Enforce strict food safety sanitizing procedures, ensuring compliance with health regulations and maintaining a spotless kitchen environment
Coordinate shift schedules and manage staffing levels to ensure smooth operations during peak hours and special events
Oversee catering operations, banquet setups, and large-scale food service events with attention to detail and timely execution

Experience

Proven supervisory experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally with background in restaurant management or hospitality leadership
Extensive culinary experience including food preparation, cooking techniques, and menu planning within fine dining or catering contexts
Demonstrated expertise in food safety protocols, sanitizing procedures, and safe handling practices across various food industry settings
Strong background in inventory management, cost control, and food management to maximize efficiency without compromising quality
Experience managing teams as a chef or kitchen leader with excellent leadership skills that motivate staff toward shared goals
Familiarity with banquet experience, catering operations, and shift management to handle diverse service demands effectively
Knowledge of dietary department standards and accommodating special dietary needs while maintaining high culinary standards
