Full Job Description

Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Private Caregiver to provide exceptional in-home care for an elderly man in the Quincy area. This role involves supporting him with daily activities, ensuring his safety, and promoting his independence. As a Private Caregiver, you will play a vital part in enhancing the quality of life for those you serve by delivering personalized, attentive care in a respectful and nurturing manner.

Responsibilities

Assist client with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using appropriate patient transfer methods.
Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding as necessary, ensuring proper nutrition and hydration.
Administer medications following prescribed care plans and medication administration protocols,
Support clients with memory care needs related to Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, or neurodevelopmental disorders through specialized techniques like patient observation and behavioral management strategies.
Provide transportation assistance for medical appointments, community outings, or errands to promote independence and social engagement.
Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing personal spaces to ensure comfort and hygiene. Some yard work may be required as well.

Qualifications

Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities, developmental or intellectual disabilities support, geriatrics, or senior care is highly preferred.
Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques, first aid, CPR certification, and basic medication administration.
Experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health settings is advantageous.
Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure client confidentiality and privacy at all times.
Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting when necessary for patient transfers or mobility assistance.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, healthcare professionals, and team members.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are preferred for assisting clients outside the home setting.

Overnight and Am through pm shifts.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
