Full Job Description

Apprentice Plumber (2nd Year Apprentice or Higher)

Job Overview

John Conner Co., LLC is seeking a motivated and dependable Apprentice Plumber who is currently enrolled in a registered plumbing apprenticeship program and has completed at least half of their second year of apprenticeship training. This position is ideal for apprentices who have developed basic plumbing skills and are ready to take on increased responsibility in the field.

The successful candidate will work alongside licensed plumbers on residential, commercial, and service plumbing projects while continuing to build their knowledge of plumbing systems, code requirements, installation methods, troubleshooting, and customer service. Applicants should be comfortable working with minimal supervision and capable of performing many common plumbing tasks with guidance as needed.

This is an excellent opportunity for an apprentice who is serious about advancing in the plumbing trade and growing with a company that values quality workmanship and professional development.

Minimum Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a registered plumbing apprenticeship program.
Must have successfully completed at least 50% of the second year of apprenticeship training (2nd Year Apprentice or higher).
Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.
Ability to lift 75 pounds and perform physical work in various weather conditions.
Basic understanding of plumbing systems, tools, materials, and safety procedures.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
Strong attendance, work ethic, and willingness to learn.

Duties & Responsibilities

Assist in the installation, repair, and maintenance of residential and commercial plumbing systems.
Install water supply, drain, waste, vent, and gas piping systems.
Assist with water heater installations, sump pump systems, sewer repairs, fixture replacements, and remodel projects.
Read and interpret blueprints, plumbing drawings, and specifications.
Operate plumbing tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
Maintain a clean and organized jobsite.
Follow all company safety policies and Wisconsin plumbing code requirements.
Provide professional customer service and represent the company positively.

Preferred Qualifications

Wisconsin Registered Apprentice (2nd Year Apprentice or higher).
Residential service plumbing experience.
Experience with drain cleaning equipment and sewer cameras.
Experience with water heaters, sump pumps, repipes, and remodeling projects.
OSHA 10 certification preferred.

Compensation
