Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Saw Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating various saw machines and related equipment to accurately cut and prepare materials according to technical specifications and production requirements. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude, proficiency with CNC and manual saws, and a thorough understanding of blueprint reading and measurement techniques. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to efficient production processes while maintaining the highest safety standards.

Duties

Operate a variety of saw equipment including CNC saws, band saws, and manual cutting machines to process materials with precision.
Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and production documents to determine cutting specifications.
Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure dimensional accuracy.
Set up and program CNC saws, CAM programming tools, and other automated machinery for optimal performance.
Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration on industrial equipment to ensure safety and efficiency.
Handle materials safely using forklifts or other warehouse equipment, ensuring proper storage and transportation.
Adhere strictly to safety standards in production environments while maintaining high quality control throughout the process.
Assist with fabrication tasks including press brake operations, stamping presses, CNC milling machines, lathes, and other manufacturing machinery as needed.
Support packaging and assembly processes by preparing finished components for shipment or further assembly.

Skills

Extensive experience with CNC programming (Fanuc controls), CAM programming, and CNC machining techniques.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
Proficiency in operating shop math tools such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments.
Familiarity with industrial equipment troubleshooting and basic factory maintenance procedures.
Knowledge of safety standards in manufacturing environments including proper use of hand tools and materials handling equipment.
Ability to read blueprints, interpret manufacturing documents, and apply GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
Experience with various manufacturing processes such as fabrication, stamping, CNC lathe work, CNC milling machines, and press brake operations.
Basic understanding of factory logistics including warehouse management, packaging procedures, and assembly tasks.
Strong organizational skills combined with attention to detail in quality control inspections.
Ability to work effectively within a team environment while maintaining a focus on safety compliance.
