Office Administrator

Location: Floyd, Virginia
Pay: Up to $30.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable, organized, and detail-oriented Office Administrator to support the day-to-day administrative needs of a busy industrial fabrication operation. This position is ideal for someone who is comfortable working in a practical, fast-paced environment and can keep office tasks, records, spreadsheets, and communications organized and accurate.

The successful candidate should be proficient in Microsoft Excel, comfortable handling a variety of administrative responsibilities, and able to work independently while supporting management and shop operations.

Key Responsibilities

Perform general office and administrative duties to support daily operations.
Create, maintain, and update Microsoft Excel spreadsheets for tracking, reporting, and recordkeeping.
Enter and organize information accurately in spreadsheets and company records.
Prepare basic reports, documents, correspondence, and other office materials.
Maintain organized electronic and paper filing systems.
Answer and direct phone calls, emails, and general inquiries.
Assist with purchase orders, invoices, receipts, and other routine paperwork.
Maintain accurate records related to customers, vendors, jobs, materials, and other business activities.
Assist management with scheduling, documentation, and administrative projects as needed.
Coordinate with employees, customers, vendors, and suppliers when necessary.
Monitor office supplies and assist with ordering as needed.
Help ensure administrative tasks are completed accurately and on time.
Perform other general office duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Previous office administration, administrative assistant, bookkeeping support, or similar experience preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
Comfortable creating and maintaining spreadsheets, entering data, formatting worksheets, sorting and filtering information, and using common Excel formulas.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and general computer applications.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Good attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to communicate professionally by phone, email, and in person.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work with limited supervision.
Dependable, punctual, and willing to assist wherever needed.
Comfortable working in an office environment connected to an industrial/manufacturing operation.

Preferred Skills

Experience working in a manufacturing, fabrication, construction, or industrial environment.
Experience with invoicing, purchasing, accounts payable/receivable support, or basic bookkeeping.
Experience maintaining job, material, inventory, or production-related spreadsheets.
Strong working knowledge of Excel formulas and functions.
Ability to learn new software and office procedures quickly.

Compensation

Up to $30.00 per hour, depending on experience, Excel proficiency, administrative skills, and overall qualifications.

We are looking for a reliable team member who takes pride in keeping things organized, accurate, and running smoothly. This is a hands-on administrative position for someone who enjoys supporting a team and handling a variety of responsibilities throughout the workday.

Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
