Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair residential electrical systems in accordance with local electrical codes and NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) standards
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute wiring and system layouts
- Perform electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters to identify issues quickly and efficiently
- Handle high-voltage electrical wiring safely during installation and maintenance of complex systems
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete electrical work on construction sites or renovation projects
- Ensure all work adheres to electrical safety procedures, including proper grounding, circuit protection, and compliance with OSHA regulations
- Collaborate with other trades such as carpentry or framing crews during renovation or new construction projects to coordinate electrical installations
Skills
- Proven experience as a residential electrician with knowledge of both low voltage and high-voltage electrical systems
- Strong understanding of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC standards, and local electrical codes
- Skilled in reading electrical blueprints, schematics, and blueprints for accurate installation and troubleshooting
- Ability to diagnose issues using electrical diagnostics tools like ohmmeters and troubleshoot complex systems efficiently
- Experience working on new build construction is desirable
- Experience with generator installation and maintenance is desirable

Pay: $24.00 - $36.00 per hour
