Full Job Description

Location: Alter Scalp Spa – North Raleigh, NC

Compensation: $25/hour | Full-Time

Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 9:30 AM–7:30 PM (with some additional hours as needed for training, business needs, etc)

We're not a salon, and we're not a traditional spa. We offer a luxury scalp spa experience designed to help our guests step away from the demands of everyday life and leave feeling refreshed, restored, and recharged.

We're looking for someone who is passionate about hospitality, loves creating exceptional experiences, and wants to help build something truly special from the ground up.

About the Role

This is much more than a front desk position.

As our Spa Operations & Guest Experience Manager, you'll oversee the daily operations of the spa while ensuring every guest and every team member experiences the level of care Alter is known for.

You'll be the heartbeat of our day-to-day operations—creating an environment where our team can thrive and every guest feels genuinely cared for.

Responsibilities

Lead the daily operations of the spa
Welcome guests and oversee the complete guest experience
Manage the front desk and ensure smooth daily operations
Build and maintain the staff schedule
Recruit, interview, onboard, and support team members
Manage inventory and place supply orders
Handle guest concerns with professionalism and empathy
Coach and support reception staff
Ensure treatment rooms and common spaces meet Alter's standards
Maintain operational checklists and procedures
Help create a positive, supportive, and accountable team culture
Work closely with the owners to continually improve the guest experience

Experience managing a spa, salon, luxury retail business, boutique fitness studio, hotel, medical office, or similar hospitality environment is preferred, but we're most interested in finding someone with exceptional leadership, professionalism, and a passion for guest experience.
