Full Job Description

Latitude is assisting an esteemed AmLaw 100 law firm in identifying a talented mid-level associate (2–5+ years) to join its Labor & Employment practice in Raleigh, NC. The ideal candidate will have meaningful experience advising clients on employment and labor matters, litigating employment disputes, conducting workplace investigations, and drafting and reviewing employment-related documents, including offer letters, employment agreements, restrictive covenant agreements, employee handbooks and policies, and separation agreements. The successful candidate will have the confidence and judgment to manage matters independently while working closely with seasoned practitioners on complex and high-profile engagements. The role offers significant client interaction, hands-on responsibility, and the opportunity to contribute strategically to challenging employment matters within a top-tier firm environment.

Qualifications for the Junior/Mid-level Employment Attorney (On-Site in Raleigh, NC)

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
2–5+ years of substantive employment law experience, with a focus on employment counseling and advising on a broad range of workplace issues.
Significant experience drafting and reviewing employment-related documents, including offer letters, employment agreements, restrictive covenant agreements, employee handbooks and policies, and separation agreements.
Experience advising on the employment aspects of business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions and related due diligence.
Exposure to traditional labor relations matters is a plus, though not required.
Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple client matters in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Active U.S. bar admission in good standing (North Carolina preferred); strong academic credentials required.

Position Details for the Junior/Mid-level Employment Attorney (On-Site in Raleigh, NC)

Type of role: Permanent Placement
Schedule: Full-Time
Location: On-site at the firm’s Raleign, NC office. Relocation assistance may be available for relocation to Raleigh.

Compensation

The salary range for this role is $200,000 - $295,000/year. Pay is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, work experience, qualifications, credentials, and location.
