Full Job Description

Content Developers for JSM’s IT Group will create and deliver high quality print letter copy services. This position will gather, organize, edit, and proof, customer information for print production. This position will develop and maintain digital content layout programs for customer mailings for both JSM Direct clients and in-house use. The role involves setting up letter composition via variable data programming and utilizing GMC/Quadient Inspire Designer. This position handles numerous different content layout projects at any given time and communicates with internal departments as needed for clarification of job instructions and/or customer specifications. This position may also at times provide off-hours support.

Essential Functions:

· Compile client’s content including letter copy, graphics, and other media assets and convert to meet specifications.

· Proof content, format, and variable letter copy.

· Update and maintain content library.

· Audit production proofs for others.

Serve as liaison with customers, account management, IT group, and operations.

Estimate and deliver upon schedules and plans.

Participate in special projects and project management duties as needed.

Frequently work on client onboarding projects.

Collaboration with clients in both the sales and solution stages.

Contribute to the upkeep and consistency of internal documentation related to issues, resolutions, usage topics, and training.

· Strong written communication skills

· Create image proofs and make file revisions as needed

Additional Responsibilities:

May provide off-hours support when necessary.

Requirements
Essential:

Proven editing and proof-reading skills.

Attention to detail.

Effective communication skills by phone, in writing, and in person.

Proficiency with computers and adaptable to learning new applications.

Willingness to learn new skills and collaborate with others.

Beneficial:

· Excellent understanding of design and typography and the process of creating a publication through all its phases from concept through printing

Preferred experience with Quadient,(GMC) & Indesign software programs.

· GMC Inspire

Ø Program, test and troubleshoot programs utilizing the appropriate technology.

Ø Checks on software upgrades, and new feature implementation.

Ø Support Manager/Supervisor on implementation of business solutions and client requests.

Ø Proactively identify opportunities to improve process.

Ø Read and interpret instructions contained in the job ticket to write programming logic and data transformations.

Have functional knowledge of font characteristics with MAC or PC OS.
