Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Orthopedic Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (NP/PA), you will join Dignity Health Medical Group – North State, a physician-led, professionally managed multi-specialty group in Redding, CA. You will play a pivotal role within our well-established Orthopedic team, working specifically with an experienced Orthopedic Spine Surgeon, providing high-quality care in both outpatient clinic and operating room settings.

You will provide expert clinical care within a collegial practice environment, benefiting from strong physician support and mentorship. Your responsibilities will include consultations, follow-ups, and procedures. The position offers a 4-day, 10-hours/day schedule, typically balancing two days in the OR and two days in the clinic (schedules may vary), allowing for excellent work-life balance. Your affiliation with Dignity Health connects you to the highest standard of healthcare, all within a single hospital and clinic site, eliminating inter-facility commuting. To be successful in this role, you will be a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (new grads welcome) with a strong passion for orthopedics, particularly spine, and a commitment to team-oriented patient care within a beautiful Northern California community known for affordable real estate, top-rated schools, and year-round outdoor recreation. While experience is helpful, your attitude and fit are paramount.

Conduct outpatient clinic consultations, follow-ups, and procedures as part of an orthopedic spine team.
Assist in the operating room, typically two days per week (schedules may vary).
Involve in ordering and interpreting diagnostic images for spine-related conditions.
Collaborate closely with an experienced Orthopedic Spine Surgeon in a supportive, team-oriented setting.

We are offering the following incentives to eligible new hires:

Compensation Range: $140,000 - $155,000 + productivity incentives.

Job Requirements

Required:

Active or eligible for NP or PA license in the State of California
Nationally recognized certification
Completion of state mandated educational courses
Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills

Preferred

First-assist surgical experience and comfort in both clinic and OR settings
1 year experience in Orthopedic Surgery

(Bonus points if you drive about 20 minutes farther to explore Jurassic Park - aka Fern Canyon - or the forest moon of Endor - aka Grizzly Creek SP.)
