Full Job Description

Overview:
Join our team at a brokerage of over 50 years of experience, as a Licensed Customs Broker and become a vital part of our global logistics and supply chain!

You will oversee customs clearance processes, ensure compliance with international trade regulations and facilitate the smooth movement of freight across borders.

You will be able to work fully remote.

Responsibilities:

You will be the qualifying Licensed Customs Broker.
Handling and transmitting ISFs and customs entries for clearance.
Make sure to have the required documentation to transmit ISFs and customs clearances.
Classification of all types of products.
Data entry and processing of various import documentation for submission to US Customs and PGAs.
Following up on customs matters and resolve any problems.
Prioritizing shipments based on their ETAs.
Filing PSCs when needed.
Daily monitoring of the AMS messages.
Answer both customer inquiries and inter-company inquiries.
Continuing broker eduction.
Coordinate with freight carriers, transportation providers, and fleet management teams to facilitate timely deliveries while maintaining safety protocols.
Stay updated on changes in international trade laws, FDA regulations, and other regulatory frameworks impacting logistics operations.
Maintain accurate documentation for all shipments, including report writing for customs declarations, compliance records, and audit reports.

Skills/Requirements:

Customs Brokerage License is required and a clean record.
Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel).
Knowledge of Customs Brokerage software, experience with using Descartes & Netchb is a plus.
Knowledge and up to date with all Customs laws and regulations.
Familiarity with regulatory reporting tools and systems used in customs clearance processes.
Ability to coordinate with freight carriers to optimize operational efficiency.
Preference will be given to Licensed Brokers with existing client importers.
