The Role

We are seeking a Senior Director of Merchandising & Product with a strong hands -on merchandising background to lead our full product organization.

The ideal candidate is first and foremost a merchant leader who owns the product P&L, assortment strategy, and performance. You thrive at the intersection of product design, development, and innovation - balancing data with creativity. With a genuine passion for color, print, and pattern, you bring fresh ideas to life and create product that our customers can’t wait to wear. You will oversee design, development as well as merchandising, through strong functional leaders, ensuring alignment and execution across the full product lifecycle. As our Senior Director of Merchandising & Product, you’ll have the autonomy to build, the speed to execute, and the influence to shape the direction of our entire product experience - all within a lean, high-performing team where your meaningful impact is immediate and visible.

What You’ll Own

Leadership and alignment across merchandising, design, development, and production
Product strategy and assortment architecture across all categories and channels
Revenue and gross margin performance by product
Seasonal line planning grounded in merchant-led decision making
Pricing, margin optimization, and lifecycle management

Key Responsibilities

Deliver product supporting our brand mission of trend setting, perfect fitting apparel for girls on the move, in swim + gym
Build and own seasonal line plans that deliver revenue and GM$ targets
Lead assortment strategy by channel (DTC, wholesale, marketplace)
Partner with Marketing and Sales to ensure product-market fit and demand alignment
Guide design and development teams to ensure product is both brand-right and commercially strong
Drive inventory strategy, forecasting, and sell-through performance
Establish clear decision-making and accountability across the product organization

What We’re Looking For

Proven experience in a growth-stage company where you’ve operated in a fast-moving, resourceful environment with evolving systems and processes
Strong background in merchandising (required), ideally in apparel, with 3+ years of experience and leadership at a director level
Experience in merchandise planning, including pricing, promotions, and markdown optimization, as well as demand forecasting, assortment strategy, inventory management, and financial performance management to drive profitable product decisions
Thrives in a hands-on environment where you’re building, executing, improving and evolving
Comfort leading across design, development, and production through senior team members
Ability to balance creative vision with commercial outcomes while moving quickly and thoughtfully
Experience in multi-channel businesses (DTC + wholesale + marketplace preferred)
Travel 3-5 times per year

Compensation and Benefits

Competitive salary between $120,000-$140,000 per year. The base salary range for this position will vary based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
