Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Spanish Interpreter to facilitate clear and accurate communication across diverse settings. In this role, you will serve as a vital linguistic bridge, translating spoken and written content between Spanish and English while ensuring cultural nuances are preserved. Your expertise will support various departments, including healthcare, legal, social services, and community outreach, enabling effective engagement with Spanish-speaking populations. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact through language proficiency and interpretation excellence.

Responsibilities

Provide real-time interpretation for conversations, meetings, interviews, and conferences in Spanish and English, ensuring clarity and cultural appropriateness.
Translate written documents, reports, and content from Spanish to English and vice versa with precision and attention to detail.
Conduct audio transcription of recorded materials in both languages to support documentation efforts.
Manage translation terminology to maintain consistency and accuracy across all projects.
Assist with content localization by adapting materials for cultural relevance within target audiences.
Support intelligence analysis by interpreting sensitive information accurately while maintaining confidentiality.
Collaborate with team members to improve language services, including developing glossaries and translation guides.

Requirements

Multilingual proficiency with strong bilingual skills in Spanish and English; language proficiency level 3 or higher is preferred.
Proven experience in interpretation, transcription, translation, or related linguistic roles.
Familiarity with interpretation techniques such as consecutive and simultaneous interpreting.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey messages clearly and effectively.
Strong writing skills for producing accurate translations and transcriptions.
Knowledge of translation terminology management tools and content localization practices.
Demonstrated cultural competency to navigate diverse social contexts confidently.
Ability to handle audio transcription tasks efficiently using typing skills; familiarity with transcription software is a plus.
Background in linguistics or foreign language studies is advantageous.
