J.A. Solari & Partners is seeking a part-time (or more) entry level accountant to join our team. This would be the ideal position for someone new to the accounting field and wanting to expand their knowledge and experience in a fast-paced, real world setting.

Qualified applicants should have basic knowledge of bookkeeping software, such as Quickbooks, and knowledge of accounting basics. We are looking for someone enthusiastic and ready to dive in and get to work for a variety of clients. This position holds room for growth and candidates will be working alongside highly skilled and seasoned tax professionals. The right candidate will not just find a job but a long-lasting and fulfilling career.

This position is 20-30 hours per week, but can be more based on the candidate’s qualifications and desired hours.

Responsibilities include:

Basic accounting and bookkeeping
Record transactions in the general ledger for various clients, including but not limited to expense accruals, payroll and related costs, and cash transactions
Performing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
Possess a positive work ethic and a drive to participate as a member of the team
Participate in networking and business development activities
Provide exceptional client service

Qualified candidates will have:

Some bookkeeping experience (at least 1 year) or courses completed
Must have accounting foundation, including reconciling bank statements, credit card statements, various loan accounts, and payroll
Must have proven effectiveness working with QuickBooks Online accounting software
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Experienced in accrual and cash basis of accounting
Excellent time management skills
Adept critical thinking and problem-solving skills
