Full Job Description

Coriander Designs is a manufacturer of custom commercial architectural millwork, casework, and furniture, serving clients across healthcare, commercial office, hospitality, multifamily, retail, and other commercial markets. We're looking for an experienced Architectural Millwork / Casework Estimator who thrives on solving complex projects, enjoys turning designs into accurate budgets, and takes pride in helping projects move successfully from concept through fabrication.

Our estimating team works closely with engineering, production, purchasing, and project management to ensure successful project execution. We value open communication and encourage ideas that improve efficiency and quality. We are looking for someone who is able to help grow the department and implement standard process improvements.

Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed estimates for custom architectural millwork, casework, commercial furniture, and specialty interior projects.
Review architectural drawings, specifications, and bid documents to develop complete project scopes.
Provide conceptual and budget pricing from preliminary drawings, renderings, or incomplete design information.
Develop value engineering options that help clients meet budget goals without sacrificing quality.
Collaborate with engineering, production, purchasing, and sales throughout the estimating process.
Prioritize multiple projects while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Assist in resolving estimating and production questions as projects move into fabrication.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance estimating accuracy and manufacturing efficiency.
Build and maintain strong relationships with general contractors, architects, designers, dealers, and clients to support repeat business and increase project award opportunities

Minimum Qualifications:

Experience with custom estimating (commercial casework, furniture, millwork, upholstery, metals, etc.); including large and small scale opportunities is a must.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
Experience using Bluebeam for quantity takeoffs and document review.
Strong understanding of commercial construction documents and architectural plans.
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of wood products, laminates, veneers, solid surface, metal, glass, stone, hardware, and other architectural finish materials.
Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple estimates and changing priorities simultaneously.

Preferred:

Experience with Cabinet Vision, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Fusion 360, or similar CAD software.
Manufacturing, engineering, or fabrication shop experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $32.00 - $36.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
