Central Virginia Legal Aid Society

Grants Manager – Richmond Office

Central Virginia Legal Aid Society (CVLAS) seeks a full-time Grants Manager for its Richmond office.

Key Responsibilities

Prospect Research: Identify and qualify new foundation, corporate, and government grant opportunities that align with our strategic goals.
Grant Writing: Write, edit, and submit high-quality, persuasive grant proposals, letters of inquiry (LOIs), and concept papers.
Reporting & Compliance: Maintain meticulous records, monitor grant budgets, and prepare accurate, timely financial and narrative reports for funders.
Relationship Management: Cultivate and steward relationships with grant officers and stakeholders through regular communication and updates.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with program and finance teams to gather data, track outcomes, and ensure grant deliverables are met.

Qualifications & Requirements

Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience in grant writing and grant management for non-profits with a verifiable track record of funded proposals.
Communication Skills: Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with the ability to translate complex program data into compelling narratives.
Organizational Skills: Strong project management abilities with high attention to detail and the capacity to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
Financial Acumen: Comfort with non-profit accounting, budgeting, and collaborating with finance teams to track grant expenditures.
Technical Proficiency: Experience with grant management software and donor databases such as Bloomerang and Salesforce.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000 commensurate with experience.
