Full Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Safety Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a safe working environment by implementing safety policies and procedures, conducting training sessions, and promoting a culture of safety within the organization. This position requires a strong understanding of occupational health standards, workers' compensation law, and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs in compliance with OSHA regulations and EPA standards.
Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
Provide training and development for employees on safety practices, first aid, CPR, and emergency response procedures.
Investigate incidents and accidents to determine root causes and develop strategies to prevent future occurrences.
Prepare detailed reports on safety performance metrics, incidents, and compliance status for management review.
Collaborate with various departments to promote awareness of occupational health issues and ensure adherence to EHS (Environment, Health, Safety) guidelines.
Stay updated on changes in workers' compensation laws and regulations affecting the workplace.

Requirements

Proven experience in a safety-related role within a manufacturing environment is preferred.
Strong knowledge of OSHA standards, EPA regulations, and workers' compensation law.
Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable.
Excellent report writing skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
Familiarity with root cause analysis methodologies to address safety concerns.
Ability to conduct engaging training sessions that foster a culture of safety among employees.
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in identifying hazards and implementing corrective actions.
A proactive approach to problem-solving with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
