Full Job Description

Position: Paralegal (Bilingual in Spanish and English)

Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Paralegal to support our attorneys in the preparation and management of immigration cases. The Paralegal will assist with preparing filings, organizing and reviewing evidence, conducting legal research, maintaining accurate case files, and ensuring work is completed in accordance with firm procedures and deadlines.

The ideal candidate is consistent, proactive, and committed to producing accurate, high-quality work. The Paralegal will play an important role in keeping cases moving efficiently, identifying potential issues early, and supporting attorneys in delivering thorough and timely legal services to clients. This is a full time, in-office, non-exempt, hourly role.

Qualifications
Case Management & File Organization

Maintain accurate, complete, and well-organized digital case files within the firm’s case management system.
Track case deadlines, status updates, and task progress in accordance with firm procedures.
Monitor assigned cases and proactively ensure materials are prepared and organized for upcoming attorney steps.
Maintain consistent file organization, naming conventions, and documentation standards.
Identify upcoming case needs and take proactive steps to keep cases progressing without unnecessary delays.
Collect, organize, review, and prepare evidence and supporting documentation for immigration filings.
Ensure evidence is legible, properly formatted, complete, and organized according to firm standards before attorney review.
Review case materials for missing, inconsistent, or potentially problematic information and flag concerns promptly.
Prepare clean, organized evidence packets and supporting materials that are ready for attorney review.
Assist in minimizing delays by identifying evidence gaps and document issues early in the case process.

Legal Research & Case-Specific Knowledge

Conduct legal and case-specific research related to immigration categories, regulations, agency policies, processing trends, Requests for Evidence (RFEs), and evidentiary requirements.
Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the firm’s case types and the evidence standards applicable to each.
Maintain organized research notes, citations, and reference materials for internal use.
Apply research findings to support the organization and strength of evidence packets and case preparation.
Identify potential eligibility concerns, evidence weaknesses, or other issues and communicate them to the appropriate team member.
Continue developing knowledge of immigration law, agency procedures, and firm-specific case workflows.

Take ownership of the quality and accuracy of assigned work and proactively resolve issues before they affect case progress.
Maintain a consistently high standard of work with minimal technical or procedural corrections required by attorneys.

Qualifications:

Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple cases, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.
Ability to follow established procedures, SOPs, and detailed instructions consistently.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to conduct research, evaluate information, and identify relevant details or inconsistencies.
Strong computer skills and the ability to learn and effectively use case management systems and other technology.
Ability to work independently, take ownership of assigned responsibilities, and proactively identify what needs to be done.
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive client information professionally.
Ability to adapt to changes in case requirements, agency procedures, and firm processes.
Strong commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
Experience working in professional environment or legal office.
Experience in immigration or litigation (civil or criminal)
Bilingual in English and Spanish
Bachelor's degree or relevant coursework in Legal Studies, Paralegal Studies, Business Administration, or a related field preferred

Salary: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
