Full Job Description

Part-Time | On-Site | Glen Allen, VA | Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–2:00 PM

Keeton & Co Real Estate is looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team and take ownership of our day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting needs.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being the go-to person behind the numbers—keeping financial records accurate, staying organized, and making sure the business runs smoothly behind the scenes.

Before You Apply:

This is an ON-SITE, PART-TIME position in Glen Allen, VA.

We are specifically looking for someone with:

3+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience
Strong, hands-on QuickBooks experience
Experience managing day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting functions
Availability to work Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–2:00 PM

If you have solid bookkeeping experience, are comfortable working independently, and genuinely enjoy keeping the numbers organized and accurate, we'd love to meet you.

What You'll Do:

You'll play an important role in managing our company's financial operations, including:

Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks
Process payroll accurately and on time
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
Reconcile bank and balance sheet accounts
Record journal entries and maintain the general ledger
Prepare monthly and year-end financial reports
Assist with budgeting and financial planning
Identify discrepancies and resolve accounting issues
Ensure financial records are accurate and up to date
Support tax preparation and work with outside accountants as needed

What We're Looking For

Required:

3+ years of hands-on bookkeeping or accounting experience
Strong working knowledge and practical experience with QuickBooks
Experience with payroll, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger accounting
Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals, including debits, credits, and journal entries
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
Exceptional attention to detail and organization
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Strong communication skills and a dependable, professional approach

Bonus Points If You Have:

Experience working with a small business
Experience in the real estate industry
Experience with budgeting and financial reporting
