Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Janitorial Supervisor (DHS) to lead our cleaning and custodial teams in maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment. In this role, you will oversee daily janitorial operations, coordinate cleaning schedules, and ensure all facilities meet high standards of cleanliness and safety. Your energetic leadership will motivate your team to deliver exceptional service while adhering to established protocols. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a tangible impact on the cleanliness and functionality of our facilities through proactive supervision and hands-on involvement.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate janitorial staff to ensure efficient completion of cleaning tasks across all designated areas
Develop and implement cleaning schedules that optimize coverage while minimizing disruptions
Conduct regular inspections of facilities to verify adherence to cleanliness standards, safety regulations, and proper use of cleaning equipment
Train team members on proper cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and the use of specialized equipment such as floor buffers and industrial cleaning tools
Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, equipment maintenance, and procurement needs to ensure operational readiness
Oversee floor care activities including buffing, stripping, waxing, and carpet cleaning to maintain pristine surfaces
Address any facility maintenance issues promptly or escalate as necessary to ensure continuous operational efficiency

Experience

Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings, with a strong understanding of cleaning procedures and safety protocols
Prior supervisory or team lead experience in facilities maintenance or porter roles is highly desirable
Knowledge of floor care techniques such as buffing, stripping, waxing, and carpet extraction
Familiarity with residential painting or general maintenance tasks is a plus but not required
Ability to operate commercial cleaning equipment safely and effectively
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently
Excellent communication skills for training staff and coordinating with management
