Locally owned and operated, Gabe’s Wisconsin Kitchen and Tavern is proud to be a part of the growing Oshkosh and Town of Algoma community. Gabe’s was founded in 2019 by owner Steve Gabelbauer. Named after his father’s childhood nickname, Gabe’s prides itself on recreating two Gabelbauer family recipes, Dad’s (Jim) Beer Can Chicken, and Mom’s (MJ) Pot Roast. These two dishes are utilized across the menu to make Gabe’s a truly unique dining experience. We are focused on providing our neighbors with quality meals prepared simply, in the Wisconsin traditions, we all have come to know and love. Our homestyle approach has made Gabe’s one of the few true scratch kitchens in the Oshkosh and Fox Cities area. Inside Gabe’s bar, you will find meticulously crafted cocktails, a wide selection of bourbons, carefully selected wines, top shelf spirits, and some of the best local beers Wisconsin provides. Gabe’s Wisconsin Kitchen and Tavern is searching for a reliable, innovative assistant restaurant manager to supervise operations at our local establishment. The FOH Manager’s main role is to support the General Manager, duties to include balancing of cash drawers, handling of customer issues, team building, inventory, running staff meetings, communication of restaurant/staff needs, executing and innovating marketing campaigns, running shifts, and social media management.

This position will work alongside our General Manager, Chef, and Sous Chef to create, maintain, and preserve our great work environment. A successful FOH Manager will always look for ways to mitigate costs while improving profitability while contributing to the professional development of staff.

FOH Restaurant Manager Responsibilities:

Opening and closing the restaurant.
Appointing, inducting, and mentoring new staff members.
Scheduling staff
Social media planning and content creation
Community Outreach and involvement
Resolving customers' questions and grievances in a professional manner.
Conducting payroll activities in an accurate, timely manner.
Ensuring that the restaurant adheres to pertinent health and safety regulations.
Sourcing better deals on all resources and equipment that warrant replacing or replenishing.
Recording all income and expenses and ensuring that cash registers are balanced. FOH Restaurant Manager Requirements:
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Previous supervisory experience, preferably within a restaurant.
Prior experience using payroll software.
Strong leadership skills with an affinity for capacity development.
Excellent conflict resolution abilities.
Innovative, trustworthy, and impartial.
Ability to work some but not all, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
