Job Description:

Our Parsons Corona, California office is now hiring a Engineer I to support major road, highway projects for Caltrans, and projects for Rail & Transit Agencies.

We offer hybrid remote working scenario for this role (meaning ability to work from home 1-2 days per week). This role does require reporting to our Corona office weekly.

Responsibilities:

Assists in preparing design calculations, standard engineering computations, material quality takeoffs, estimates, surveys, technical reports, 3D modeling, design and engineering plans for assigned projects.
Completes a variety of assignments such as drawings, specifications, and other materials suitable for procurement and construction purposes, utilizing CAE/CAD as applicable.
Performs a variety of engineering tasks by applying standard engineering techniques and analyses within a discipline. The Engineer at this level has experience and an increasing proficiency in the utilization of engineering theories and practices, and Company procedures.
Reviews small and portions of larger supplier drawing submittals and assists in performing technical bid analyses.
Prepares and issues specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents.
Provides input and technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, Designers, and lower-level Engineers working on the same project.
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Requirements:

4-year degree in Engineering (or related field) and 3-5 years of related work experience. In addition, an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certificate may be required.

Skills/ Competencies:

Working knowledge of CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering is required.
Experience in utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, and/or OpenRoads is desirable.

Salary Range: $63,600.00 - $111,300.00
