Full Job Description

Human Resources Assistant

Employment Type: Regular Part-Time, Non-Exempt, At-Will
Location: Redlands, CA — In-Office
Pay: $20.00–$22.00 per hour
Schedule: 2–3 days per week, approximately 8 hours per shift
Expected Hours: Approximately 16–24 hours per week
Reports To: HR Manager
Start Date: Seeking a candidate who can start within one week

Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to support our HR department. This part-time, in-office position will assist with onboarding, employee records, HR documentation, scheduling, data entry, and general administrative tasks. Experience supporting HR functions in a medical office or healthcare environment is a plus.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who is organized, dependable, professional, and comfortable handling confidential employee information. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, communicates clearly, can manage multiple priorities, and is comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Assist with onboarding, including collecting new-hire documents, scheduling orientations, and maintaining onboarding checklists
Maintain accurate employee files and HR records in physical and electronic formats
Prepare standard HR documents, including offer letters, forms, and templates
Track required employee documents, certifications, and other HR requirements and follow up on outstanding items
Assist with interview scheduling and candidate communications
Perform accurate data entry and maintain HR spreadsheets and tracking systems
Respond to routine HR questions or direct inquiries to the appropriate team member
Provide general administrative support, including scanning, filing, printing, and organizing HR documents
Maintain confidentiality when handling employee and company information
Perform other administrative duties as assigned by the HR Manager

Qualifications

1–2 years of HR or administrative support experience required; HR experience preferred
Experience in a medical office or healthcare environment is a plus
Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and deadlines
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Experience with HRIS, applicant tracking systems, or payroll systems is a plus
Ability to work independently, follow instructions, and take initiative

Physical Requirements

Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods
Frequent use of standard office equipment, including computers, printers, scanners, copiers, and phones
Ability to walk within the office and access files and supplies
Ability to lift and carry office supplies or file boxes weighing up to 25 pounds

Working Conditions

This is a fully in-office position in Redlands, California. Remote work is not available. The regular schedule is approximately 2–3 days per week, with shifts of approximately 8 hours. The final schedule will be confirmed during the hiring process.

This is a regular part-time, non-exempt, at-will position.
