Job Description and Duties

Note: Effective July 1, 2025, a 2% salary reduction is in place under the Personal Leave Program (PLP), with 3.5 hours of Personal Leave Credit earned monthly in exchange. This program is subject to change based on union agreements and state budget policy.

This position is located in Riverside and surrounding counties.

Under general direction of the Codes and Standards Administrator I (CSA I), the District Representative II (DR II) works as a lead inspector and assigned the most sensitive and complex field inspections and investigations. The DR II mentors and guides multiple DR I’s. The incumbent is responsible for scheduling and conducting inspections relating to the enforcement of the California Health and Safety Codes and state and federal regulations within an assigned geographical area and writing reports related to inspections.

The attached duty statement indicates the assigned geographical location for this position. Candidates who reside more than 50 miles outside of the assigned geographical area may be interviewed; however, the selected candidate must have a primary residency within 50-miles of the assigned geographic area prior to appointment (and continue to maintain residency) as a condition of employment. Failure to meet this requirement may result in the job offer being rescinded.

Desirable Qualifications

Experience in the mobilehome industry is highly desirable, especially as
