Full Job Description

Bookkeeper (Temporary)

An established and growing organization is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join its accounting team. This immediate need is expected to last approximately 8-10 weeks and may transition into a permanent opportunity based on business needs.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on accounting professional who can step in quickly, manage day-to-day accounting functions, and contribute wherever needed in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

Compensation

$24.00 - $26.26 per hour

Employment Type

Temporary with potential for permanent hire

Key Responsibilities

Process accounts payable, including three-way matching
Manage cash applications and accounts receivable activities
Perform monthly account reconciliations
Support month-end close activities
Assist with payroll-related journal entries
Prepare and record accruals
Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger activity
Provide administrative support and assist with special projects as assigned
Support additional accounting and operational functions as needed

Qualifications

3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger processes
Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills
Experience working within an accounting or ERP system
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Team-player mentality with a willingness to assist across departments

Preferred Experience

Experience supporting month-end close processes
Familiarity with accrual accounting
Experience working in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment
