Salary & Additional Compensation
Base Salary: $48,800 –$73,500 (depending on verified years of certified teaching experience)
Athletic Director Annual Stipend -$5000.00
PLUS approximately $7,000 annual voter-approved Millage Supplement (currently approved through 2029).
The salary range listed for this position represents candidates with 1 to 27 years of verified certified teaching experience and reflects the Board of Directors' approved instructional salary schedule. Starting salaries are determined solely by verified years of certified teaching experience to ensure consistency and equity among all instructional staff. Individual salary negotiations are not available. We encourage applicants to carefully review the posted salary range and additional compensation information prior to applying.

Yes...we know.
It's Florida, Good news... We have a fully air-conditioned gymnasium!
You'll share the gym with our Elementary PE Coach, alternating weeks between indoor and outdoor instruction, giving students variety while making Florida weather much more manageable.

This position also includes the opportunity to serve as our Athletic Director, with an additional stipend. We're looking for someone excited to help create an athletic program our students are proud to be part of.
As Athletic Director, you'll:
- Recruit and support volunteer coaches
- Coordinate practices and game schedules
- Secure officials and referees
- Communicate with families throughout each season
- Schedule practices using our Master Calendar while avoiding conflicts
- Ensure volunteer coaches complete all required background checks and annual trainings
- Help create a positive, organized, and exciting athletic experience for our students
- This isn't just paperwork.

Qualifications:
- Florida Teaching Certificate in Physical Education
- Passion for teaching, coaching, and mentoring middle school students
- Strong classroom management and relationship-building skills
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management abilities
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced school environment
- Self-motivated professional who is able to work independently, take initiative, and follow projects through to completion with minimal supervision
- Proven ability to think ahead, solve problems, and make sound decisions while keeping students' best interests at the center of every decision
- Comfortable coordinating volunteers, communicating with families, and organizing athletic events
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain calendars, schedules, and compliance requirements
- Previous coaching, athletic leadership, or athletic administration experience is preferred but not required

Work EnvironmentThis position includes both indoor and outdoor responsibilities. The selected candidate should be comfortable working with students in a variety of school environments, including classrooms, the gymnasium, athletic fields, arrival and dismissal, lunch supervision, and school events.
The position requires the ability to stand, walk, bend, lift instructional equipment, and actively supervise students for extended periods. Outdoor duties may involve exposure to Florida weather conditions, including heat, sun, rain, and cooler temperatures.
