Job Overview

Join our dynamic culinary team as a Line Cook/Prep Cook, where your energy and culinary skills will help create memorable dining experiences. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing ingredients, cooking dishes to perfection, and maintaining high safety and food handling standards. Your enthusiasm for food preparation and attention to detail will contribute to a vibrant kitchen environment focused on quality and efficiency. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your culinary expertise while supporting our commitment to exceptional food service.

Responsibilities

Assist in preparing ingredients through slicing, dicing, and portioning using proper knife skills and slicing techniques
Cook menu items according to established recipes and quality standards, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation
Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering strictly to safety standards in production and food handling procedures
Support menu planning efforts by preparing ingredients for upcoming dishes and catering events
Follow food safety management practices, including proper storage, sanitation, and temperature controls
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely meal preparation and efficient food service during busy hours
Assist in food prep for catering events, special functions, or daily restaurant operations

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant or food industry setting, particularly as a line cook or prep cook
Knowledge of dietary department and dietary aide procedures is a plus
Strong food preparation skills with an emphasis on safety standards in production and food handling
Demonstrated proficiency in culinary techniques such as slicing, chopping, and cooking methods
Familiarity with kitchen equipment, knife skills, and slicing techniques required for efficient meal prep
Experience with food safety management practices and maintaining hygiene standards in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a high-pressure setting while maintaining attention to detail
