Full Job Description

Rogers Group, Inc., headquartered in Nashville, is a privately held aggregates and asphalt highway construction company operating in 13 states with over 3,500 employees. RGI, established in 1908, has the distinction of being recognized as the largest privately held aggregate producer in the United States.

Rogers Group is currently seeking candidates to fill an ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT position based at our SMA office in Roanoke, VA. The successful candidate for this role will provide operational and administrative support for Division management and construction administration.

Candidates must be motivated, safety conscious individuals with good multi-tasking skills to manage a variety of administrative and procurement tasks. Performs general clerical duties in accordance with established procedures, requiring some judgement in the selection and interpretation of data. Candidate may also be trained to provide accounts payable, accounting, human resources, and billing support.

Wages starting at $25.00/hr., may be higher based on experience.

Hours will be 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Overtime available

Job Requirements

Front Desk Assistant to the office including interactions with suppliers, delivery, customers, and community
Become an iProcurement Super User
Order and maintain inventory for office supplies, manage intercompany mail, FedEx, etc.
May be called upon at the discretion of Managers to perform other duties
Assist with Company and community relations events.
Assist in processing miscellaneous AP data entry as needed (including PO processing and vendor setup)
Process incoming invoices from vendors
Tracking of company vehicles
Office supply/equipment oversight (coordinate service calls as needed)
Coordinate with Corporate office on newsworthy articles for Corporate Newsletter
Sorts and distributes daily mail; coordinates shipping with Fed Ex, UPS, and USPS
Other administrative assignments as directed by the Division Controller

Qualifications

High school diploma required
Associate Degree or higher in Business Administration, Accounting, Business Management or similar preferred.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Excellent customer service skills
Detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy with the ability to multi-task
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Excellent communication skills both oral and written
Prior experience with accounts payable, general accounting, and billing related tasks – preferred, but not required
