Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Manager to lead our accounts payable operations with precision and efficiency. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the entire invoice processing cycle, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and maintain strong relationships with vendors and internal teams. Your expertise will drive accuracy in financial data entry, streamline accounts payable workflows, and uphold the highest standards of financial integrity. Duties

Oversee the end-to-end accounts payable process, including invoice receipt, validation, coding, and timely payment processing using financial software such as Workday, SAP, or Oracle.
Ensure adherence to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) compliance standards across all financial transactions.
Manage vendor relationships by verifying invoice accuracy, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining clear communication channels.
Lead accounts payable automation initiatives using tools like Bill.com, Paychex, or other financial systems to improve efficiency and reduce manual data entry errors.
Reconcile accounts payable ledger with general ledger records through detailed account reconciliation procedures and journal entries.
Supervise a team of accounts payable specialists; provide training on accounting software like QuickBooks, Sage, or PeopleSoft, and promote best practices in data entry and invoice processing.
Prepare detailed reports on accounts payable metrics, cash flow forecasts, and audit documentation for internal review and external audits.

Requirements

Proven experience in accounting or finance roles with a focus on accounts payable management; experience in public accounting is a plus.
Strong knowledge of accounting concepts such as double-entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, and general ledger reconciliation.
Proficiency with financial software including Workday, ADP, Kronos, UltiPro, Ceridian, Sage, or similar systems; familiarity with accounting systems like PeopleSoft or Microsoft Dynamics is advantageous.
Expertise in Excel data analysis using formulas like VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and advanced spreadsheet functions for reporting purposes.
Solid understanding of GAAP standards and SOX compliance requirements related to financial reporting.
Excellent analytical skills for account reconciliation and discrepancy resolution; strong attention to detail for data entry accuracy.
Ability to handle confidential information with integrity while managing multiple priorities efficiently.
Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively across departments including human resources for benefits administration or payroll management tasks related to accounts payable processes.
