Haven of Bridgeport is seeking a dependable and compassionate Cook to join our dietary team. In this role, you will prepare and serve nutritious, high-quality meals that support the health and well-being of our residents. Responsibilities

Prepare and cook meals according to approved menus and dietary requirements
Ensure proper food portioning, quality, and presentation standards
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection control guidelines
Assist with meal service and tray preparation
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including equipment and work areas
Support daily kitchen operations and collaborate with team members
Help ensure residents receive meals that meet their nutritional needs and preferences

Requirements

Previous cooking or food service experience preferred
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
Ability to stand for extended periods of time
Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds
Reliable attendance, including weekends and holidays as needed
Strong teamwork, communication, and customer service skills
