Job Summary

Part-Time (20-30 hours per week); with flexibility of full time with cross training to other interoffice departments

Position Summary:

We are enthusiastically looking for a new addition to our awesome team!

Byron Eye Care is a primary optometry practice that prides itself on strong patient relationships and excellence. Our optometric assistant/technician works closely with our patients and doctors.

Requirements: An outgoing personality, someone who thrives in a team environment, shows compassion, has great prioritization skills, and understands the importance of details.

The role is primarily responsible for assisting the Optometrists in patient care while demonstrating how we love eyes, care about the people behind them and execute a flawless patient experience. The ideal candidate will have experience or an interest in the healthcare field with outstanding people skills. We are willing to train!

Complete comprehensive pre-screening data for exams
Charting and data entry; Maintaining accurate patient records
Help maintain the office appearance at all times
Collecting medical history and diagnostic data
Proficiency in navigating EHR/PMS systems
Complete & maintain HIPAA compliance training

Qualifications Required: High School Diploma or GED equivalent. One year or more experience working in secretarial, customer service, sales, medical or office settings (optical preferred), or related role. Must be self-directed, detail-oriented, highly organized, with strong clerical aptitude. Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills, with a commitment to quality and excellence in service.

Certification (Preferred): Certified. Knowledge of basic optical medical terminology is a plus.
