Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Executive Chef in the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring that high standards of food quality and presentation are maintained. This position requires a strong understanding of culinary techniques, menu planning, and food safety protocols. As a Sous Chef, you will have the opportunity to showcase your creativity while contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning and development, ensuring seasonal and local ingredients are utilized effectively.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient food production and service.
Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with health regulations.
Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency and quality across all dishes.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
Train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques, food handling procedures, and restaurant policies.
Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist in ordering as needed to maintain stock levels.
Handle any issues or complaints that arise in the kitchen promptly and professionally.

Experience

Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food production processes, and menu planning.
Familiarity with bartending practices is a plus.
Experience in supervising kitchen staff and managing kitchen operations effectively.
Excellent understanding of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences is essential.
