The CNC Programmer will be responsible for developing and optimizing CNC programs for a wide variety of aerospace components- from straightforward drilling and 3-axis work to highly complex multi-axis parts requiring advanced 5-axis machining strategies. This role is critical in supporting the company's operational needs while optimizing efficiencies and quality within the aerospace industry.

Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Create efficient and reliable CNC programs for 3, 4 and 5-axis machining centers.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documents to determine machining requirements.
- Assist in the setup and operation of CNC machines to ensure accuracy and efficiency of production.
- Designing and developing creative workholding and fixturing solutions that ensure successful production.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and holders for each job to maximize efficiency and quality.
- Continuously improve machining processes using the latest tooling, software and manufacturing technologies to reduce cycle times, enhance quality, and minimize waste.
- Inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality using precision measuring instruments. Make necessary adjustments to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to CNC programming and machining processes.
- Collaborate with machinists, engineers, and quality personnel to achieve production goals and maintain high standards of quality.
- Produce clear and organized setup sheets, tooling information and process documentation that can be easily understood and followed on the shop floor.
- Maintain accurate records of programs, tool libraries, and setup sheets that allow machine operators to confidently and consistently run parts.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements and Skills:
Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience as a CNC Programmer in a manufacturing environment.
Education: Associate’s degree in Manufacturing Technology, Engineering, or related field preferred. Relevant certifications are a plus.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in CNC programming languages (e.g., G-code, M-code), CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, CAMWorks, SolidWorks, AutoCAD), and experience with various CNC machines.
Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex machining issues.
Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in programming and machining.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and document processes.
Preferred:
- Aerospace industry experience.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to sit or stand up to 8 hours per day uninterrupted.
