Full Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Campus Nurse to provide comprehensive healthcare services within our educational environment. In this vital role, you will deliver immediate medical attention, manage health records, and promote wellness initiatives to ensure a safe and healthy campus for students, staff, and visitors. Your expertise will support the overall well-being of the school community by responding swiftly to emergencies, administering treatments, and maintaining compliance with health regulations. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners and school personnel alike.

Responsibilities

Assess and respond promptly to medical emergencies using advanced skills in patient care, vital signs monitoring, and emergency response protocols.
Administer medications, injections, IV insertions, and perform CPR or AED operation as needed to stabilize students or staff during health crises.
Maintain accurate medical documentation within electronic health records (EHR) systems while ensuring strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards.
Conduct health assessments, including physiology and anatomy evaluations, to identify health issues and coordinate appropriate care or referrals.
Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, administrators, and healthcare providers regarding student health status and treatment plans.
Ensure compliance with all health regulations, including state nursing practice acts and school health policies, while maintaining a safe clinic environment.
Manage immunizations, first aid supplies, medical records, and medication administration logs in accordance with school policies and legal requirements.

Qualifications

Valid licensure as a registered nurse RN, LPN or CNA with the State Board of Nursing or equivalent licensing authority.
Demonstrated proficiency in procedures including trauma response, IV insertion, venipuncture, medication administration, and basic life support (BLS) certification.
Excellent communication skills for parent interaction and interprofessional collaboration within a school setting.
Ability to handle manual handling tasks safely while maintaining patient confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines.
Experience working in school clinics or similar environments is highly desirable; candidates should be committed to promoting student health and safety through proactive care strategies.
