Full Job Description

NO PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE NECESSARY

ECon Welding & Fabrication is a small shop that specializes in metal furniture and display manufacturing. We are looking for an experienced Saw Operator who takes pride in their work and can work in a fast paced environment. The products made here are featured across the country, including in countless homes, the LA Dodgers stadium, Starbucks, Google's headquarters, Grand Central Station, and DreamWorks Animation Studio.

Raises and promotions are based on work performance, not length of employment, so if you prove yourself to be a dependable hard worker, there is a lot of potential for growth early on.

Most material being processed ranges from 16ga-14ga square or rectangular tubing, ranging from 3/4" square up to 4" square tubing. Flat bar is also commonly used ranging from 1/8" up to 1/2" thick.

Job duties will include using manual and semi-automatic cold saws, band saws, and shears to cut the raw material to length.

For the most part, you will be working by yourself, but the ability to work with a team is required.
Basic prints will be provided, but basic math skills and geometry are required for calculating angles and cut lengths
A good understanding of the fabrication process is a plus, as this will aid in decision making for the cutting process.

Initial hours will be 8am to 4:30pm (there is some flexibility to this), after orientation you can set your own schedule, provided it works well with the remainder of the team. There is a 30 minute unpaid break, which can be taken whenever you would like. Additional breaks can be taken as well if necessary. Major holidays are paid days off, you also get 1 week of additional paid time off during your first year of employment. Initial pay will depend on relevant past experience.

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
