Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Executive Chef/Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team with passion and precision in this newly opening assisted living and memory care community. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring exceptional food quality, safety, and service standards. Your leadership will inspire creativity, foster teamwork, and maintain the highest levels of food safety and sanitation. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape our culinary offerings while managing day-to-day kitchen functions in a fast-paced, hospitality-focused environment. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and possesses a strong background in fine dining, catering, and restaurant management.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise all kitchen staff, including cooks, sous chefs, and catering teams, fostering a collaborative and motivated work environment
Oversee menu planning and food preparation to deliver innovative dishes that meet quality standards and customer expectations
Manage budgets, inventory control, food ordering, and cost control measures to optimize profitability while maintaining high-quality food production
Ensure strict adherence to food safety sanitizing procedures, health regulations, and sanitation standards across all kitchen areas
Coordinate catering events and banquet services, ensuring timely execution and exceptional guest experiences
Monitor shift operations, manage staffing schedules, and oversee training programs to ensure efficient workflow during all service periods
Implement food handling protocols and maintain compliance with all safety regulations to protect both staff and guests

Skills

Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in fine dining, catering, and restaurant management
Proven supervising experience with the ability to lead diverse teams effectively
Knowledge of dietary department procedures and food safety sanitizing practices
Skilled in inventory management, cost control, and food industry best practices
Excellent menu planning, food preparation, and kitchen management skills
Experience managing large-scale food service operations including banquet events and catering services
Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate teams while maintaining high standards of hospitality and service excellence
Familiarity with food handling regulations, sanitation procedures, and health codes
Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment including shift management and inventory control
Competence in overseeing food safety protocols such as proper cooking techniques and sanitation procedures
