Full Job Description

Position Title: HR Recruiter – Manufacturing

Department: Human Resources

Reports To: Factory Manager

Location: Lyerly, Georgia

Employment Type: Full-Time, Onsite

Position Summary

The HR Recruiter is primarily responsible for managing the recruitment and staffing process for the company’s manufacturing facility in Lyerly, Georgia. Approximately 75%–80% of this position’s time will be dedicated to recruiting activities, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, coordinating interviews, maintaining an active candidate pipeline, and supporting hiring decisions.

The HR Recruiter will recruit for hourly production, manufacturing, warehouse, administrative, and other assigned positions. This position will work closely with the Factory Manager, Human Resources Manager, department managers, and supervisors to understand staffing needs and move qualified candidates through the hiring process efficiently.

The position will also provide limited support with pre-employment requirements, new hire onboarding, recruitment records, and related HR administrative responsibilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Recruitment and Staffing

Manage the day-to-day recruitment process for hourly production, manufacturing, warehouse, administrative, and other assigned positions.
Meet regularly with the Factory Manager, department managers, and supervisors to understand current and anticipated staffing needs.
Post and maintain job openings on Indeed and other appropriate job boards and recruitment platforms.
Review applications and resumes and identify candidates who meet position requirements.
Conduct initial phone screenings and candidate interviews.
Develop and maintain an active candidate pipeline for current and anticipated hiring needs.
Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
Communicate with candidates throughout the recruitment process and provide timely follow-up.
Assist hiring managers with evaluating candidates and making effective hiring decisions.
Coordinate recruiting events, hiring events, job fairs, community outreach, and other recruitment initiatives.
Identify new recruiting sources and strategies to improve applicant flow.
Track open positions, applicant activity, candidate status, interviews, offers, and hiring results.
Identify recruiting challenges and recommend practical solutions to improve time-to-fill, candidate quality, and hiring outcomes.
Help ensure open positions are filled promptly while maintaining appropriate hiring standards.
Maintain professional and positive communication with all applicants and candidates.

Pre-Employment and Hiring Process

Coordinate pre-employment requirements, including background checks, drug screenings, employment verification, and required documentation.
Communicate job offers, hiring requirements, and next steps to selected candidates as directed by management.
Coordinate candidate start dates with hiring managers, supervisors, and Human Resources.
Prepare and maintain accurate new hire documentation.
Ensure required pre-employment and hiring documentation is completed accurately and on time.
Maintain accurate and confidential candidate and recruitment records.

New Hire Onboarding

Coordinate and support new employee onboarding and orientation.
Assist new hires with completing required employment documentation and onboarding requirements.
Complete and maintain Form I-9 employment eligibility verification documentation.
Coordinate onboarding activities with supervisors and department managers.
Ensure new hires receive required information regarding company policies, procedures, work schedules, safety requirements, and job expectations.
Follow up with supervisors and new employees when appropriate to support a successful start.

Recruitment Reporting and Administrative Support

Prepare regular recruiting and staffing reports for the Factory Manager and Human Resources Manager.
Track recruiting activity, hiring progress, applicant sources, candidate conversion, and open-position status.
Maintain accurate applicant tracking system, recruitment, and new hire records.
Support recruitment-related audits and compliance activities.
Assist with general HR administrative responsibilities when needed, while maintaining recruitment as the position’s primary responsibility.
Maintain strict confidentiality regarding employee, applicant, and company information.
Perform other recruitment-related duties as assigned by the Factory Manager.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
Two to four years of recruiting or Human Resources experience preferred.
Experience recruiting for manufacturing, production, warehouse, or other high-volume hourly positions strongly preferred.
Demonstrated ability to source, screen, interview, and follow up with candidates effectively.
Strong understanding of recruitment processes and candidate screening practices.
Experience using applicant tracking systems, HRIS platforms, Indeed, job boards, or other recruiting platforms preferred.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate professionally with candidates, employees, supervisors, and managers.
Ability to manage multiple open positions and changing priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Strong follow-up skills and the ability to maintain an active candidate pipeline.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee and candidate information.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Fluency in English is required. Bilingual English/Spanish skills are preferred but not required.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

This is a full-time, onsite position at the company’s manufacturing facility in Lyerly, Georgia.
Ability to work in both an office and manufacturing environment.
Ability to communicate effectively with candidates, employees, supervisors, and management.
Ability to conduct interviews and interact with candidates and employees throughout the facility.
Ability to attend recruiting events and job fairs as needed.
Ability to perform administrative tasks and maintain accurate electronic and paper records.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
