Position Summary
Sundigo Solar Manufacturing Inc. is seeking a hands-on HR Recruiter to manage full-cycle recruiting for our manufacturing facility in Lyerly, Georgia. This role is focused on filling hourly production, manufacturing, warehouse, maintenance, supervisory, administrative, and other assigned positions efficiently while maintaining strong hiring standards and a positive candidate experience.
The HR Recruiter owns the hiring process from the opening of a position through sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer coordination, completion of pre-employment requirements, and confirmation of the candidate's start date. This position reports directly to the Factory Manager and works closely with department managers and frontline supervisors to understand staffing needs and hiring priorities.
After an employee begins work, the existing HR team member is responsible for onboarding administration, Form I-9, personnel files, employee relations, benefits, payroll support, and ongoing HR management. The HR Recruiter will ensure a complete and timely handoff of the new hire's information.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment and Staffing
- Manage full-cycle recruiting for hourly production, manufacturing, warehouse, maintenance, supervisory, administrative, and other assigned roles.
- Meet regularly with the Factory Manager, department managers, and supervisors to confirm current and anticipated staffing needs.
- Create accurate, attractive job postings and maintain openings on Indeed and other appropriate recruiting platforms.
- Proactively source candidates through job boards, resume searches, referrals, community outreach, recruiting events, job fairs, schools, and other effective channels.
- Build and maintain an active pipeline of qualified candidates for recurring and high-volume positions.
- Review applications and resumes promptly and identify candidates who meet the position requirements.
- Conduct phone screens and initial interviews to evaluate relevant experience, skills, availability, interest, and fit for the work environment.
- Coordinate interviews with hiring managers and supervisors and maintain timely candidate follow-up.
- Support hiring managers in evaluating candidates and making practical, timely hiring decisions.
- Communicate approved offers, hiring requirements, and next steps to selected candidates.
- Maintain professional communication with all candidates throughout the recruitment process.
Pre-Employment and Handoff
- Coordinate background checks, drug screenings, employment verification, and other approved pre-employment requirements.
- Confirm offer acceptance and coordinate the candidate's start date with the Factory Manager, hiring manager, supervisor, and existing HR team member.
- Maintain accurate and confidential candidate, recruiting, and pre-employment records.
- Provide the existing HR team member with a complete handoff before the employee's start date.
Recruiting Operations and Reporting
- Track open positions, applicant activity, interviews, offers, accepted offers, start dates, hiring sources, time-to-fill, and other recruiting results.
- Provide regular recruiting and staffing updates directly to the Factory Manager.
- Identify recruiting challenges and recommend practical ways to improve applicant flow, candidate quality, hiring speed, and retention.
- Maintain accurate information in Indeed, applicant tracking systems, and recruiting records.
- Perform other recruitment-related duties assigned by the Factory Manager.
Qualifications
- Two or more years of recruiting, staffing, talent acquisition, or related HR experience preferred.
- Experience with full-cycle or high-volume recruiting strongly preferred.
- Experience recruiting for manufacturing, production, warehouse, maintenance, or other hourly positions preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to source, screen, interview, coordinate offers, and follow up with candidates effectively.
- Experience using Indeed, job boards, applicant tracking systems, HRIS platforms, or similar recruiting tools preferred.
- Strong organization, attention to detail, communication, and follow-up skills.
- Ability to manage multiple open positions and changing priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Ability to communicate professionally with candidates, employees, supervisors, and managers.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive candidate information.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Fluency in English is required. Bilingual English/Spanish skills are preferred but not required.
- A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred but not required.
Work Environment
- This is a full-time, onsite position at the company's manufacturing facility in Lyerly, Georgia.
- The role works in both office and manufacturing environments and regularly interacts with frontline employees and supervisors.
- Occasional attendance at recruiting events, job fairs, schools, or community events may be required.
