Full Job Description

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Laboratory Technician to support quality control testing in a manufacturing environment focused on dietary supplements/nutraceutical products. This role is responsible for performing analytical chemistry and microbiological testing to ensure product quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with advanced instrumentation (such as ICP-MS and/or NMR) and a strong background in microbial, pathogen, and allergen testing in a regulated laboratory setting.

Duties

Perform routine and non-routine testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished supplement products
Operate and maintain analytical instrumentation, including (as applicable): ICP-MS, NMR, HPLC, GC-MS, and related lab equipment
Conduct microbiological testing, including microbial limits, pathogen detection, and allergen screening
Prepare samples and reagents following established SOPs
Accurately document test results in compliance with GMP/GLP standards
Support QA/QC processes and assist with investigations of out-of-spec results
Ensure laboratory equipment is properly calibrated, maintained, and documented
Follow all safety, regulatory, and quality guidelines in a manufacturing environment

Required Qualifications

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or related field
Hands-on laboratory experience in an analytical or microbiological testing environment
Experience with at least one advanced analytical instrument (ICP-MS or similar highly preferred)
Strong understanding of laboratory safety, documentation, and quality systems
Experience working in a regulated environment (GMP, GLP, ISO, or FDA-regulated industry)

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with NMR, ICP-MS, HPLC, GC-MS, or other advanced instrumentation
Background in nutraceutical, food, pharmaceutical, or environmental testing
Experience with pathogen testing, microbial limits, and allergen analysis
Familiarity with supplement manufacturing quality systems
Strong data analysis and troubleshooting skills in a lab setting
