Position Summary
The Miller's Smorgasbord Receptionist is responsible for professionally answering the corporate phone lines, greeting visitors and taking reservations for Miller’s Smorgasbord and Smokehouse BBQ and Brews. Approximately 18-28 hours/week (10am - 6pm), including rotating evenings, weekends and holidays. The ideal candidate must be dependable, organized, computer literate, and able to “smile over the phone” as you handle multiple telephone lines. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Answering phones.

Making reservations for two restaurants.

Answering questions and giving information about our restaurants, hotel, retail locations.

Responding to guests service inquires in a professional manner to expedite issue to business unit management for resolution.

Communicating with reservation team members keeping them abreast of current activities and shared tasks.
- Daily processing of incoming and outgoing US Mail.

Performing light office work as assigned to reservation team to support the Corporate Office Team. This may include laminating, copying, and cutting documents for business units as required.

Preparing internal employee name tags, food labels and specialty buttons.

Administrative processing of online store orders which may include credit card processing.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

Rotating evenings, weekends and holidays.
-
Must have strong customer service skills.
-
Fluent in English. Spanish a plus, but not required.

Display positive, professional and enthusiastic attitude.

Must be detail oriented, highly organized and ability to follow standard operating procedures.

Ability to work under pressure in fast paced environment during peak call volume periods.

Ability to interact effectively with corporate office visitors, employees and guests in-person, over the phone or by email.

Ability to use an iPad for reservations.

General knowledge of office equipment or willingness to be trained (printer, paper cutter, laminator, engraver, button maker).

Ability to update Excel tracking spreadsheets.
