Tool Room - Manual Machinist

Location: Roscoe, IL, 61073

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tool Room - Manual Machinist to join our team in Roscoe, IL. The ideal candidate will have experience working with manual lathes, custom tooling, and jig bore machines. This role requires the ability to position work pieces accurately, align and secure fixtures, and work from sketches and blueprints to create products that meet precise specifications.

Key Responsibilities

Required Skills and Qualifications

Proficient in operating manual lathes and jig bore machines.
Experience with custom tooling design and fabrication.
Ability to position work pieces and align/secure fixtures accurately.
Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
Knowledge of machining tolerances and quality standards.
Competent in shop math and tooling technology principles.
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in machining preferred.
Previous experience as a manual machinist or in a tool room environment is highly desirable.
